Tires for carpet racing... try the HPI 27R in front and 23's in the rear. both with firm inserts. Sorex tires works great also. for shock oil.. you may have to experiment. thinker up front and thinner in the rears. possibly start with 70 and 50's. same goes with the spring setup. hope this helps a little... I'm also getting my car ready for carpet racing in Nov.

More damage... how can you tell the newest A-arms from the old crappy ones that shipped with the original Pro3?

hey Chrisman, the chassis is old news... from what I understand, it is a limited edition chassis that is made by Kai and it is not in production anymore.

I've heard that there are 3 "generations" of A-arms that HPI has put out for the Pro 3, each one an improvement over the previous part. Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between the original part and the latest part? Thanks,

Rocket,

There are two revisions of suspension arms from the original. If you go to the hpiracing.com website, kit info for PRO3 and then click on Important Kit Updates all the info is there. It even mentions the revisions made to the diff outdrives. There are good diagrams of all the updates and a replacement policy also.

Yorkie.

Kenneth Tan,
Just been on the HPI forum, no problems apart from having to re-register. That's the US site and not the European one.

Have any of you guys raced with the HPI Audi A4 bodyshell?

I'm looking to race something a little different from the usual Stratus / Alfa but wouldn't bother if the handling of the A4 is off the pace.
