Default Sorex (Gen II) Tyres

Guys

I've seen Sorex Gen II tyres listed (at rctyres.com and rabhobbies.com.au). Are these the same as the generic Sorex tyres you see everywhere else? If there are any differences I'd be keen to know.

Thanks

Arj

The Sorex V2 tyres are slightly better overall performance than original but as far as I am aware the are no longer made. If you can find em I suggest you get them.

So if I understand you correctly they had the original, then released Gen II, then discontinued Gen II but the original is still around and popular?

On further looking it seems that those two sites are out of stock on the Gen II.

Thanks

Its nothing to do with popularity. The chemical composition of rubbers tyre changed about a year and a half ago due to a hazadous chemical that was in the rubber. The GEN II's must have needed this.

Hello everyone, hope I can help a little, The gen 2 tire was the second ver of tire compound that changed very very little because of air control polution in Japan and other surrounding countries in 2004. Sorex changed their tire compound over 4 years ago and all other company brands have just have started over the last 2 years that is why other compaies having tire issuues and Sorex does not. They did their change right away when the law was in efect. The tire did get a little slower like maybe 1 ten of a lap but that was over 4 years ago and the tire is still fast.

I am the USA sole importer since 2000.
And we still have the tires in stock.

Billy
