It will be great to have another body on the track with the Sophias and Corvettes. I'm a huge Alfa geek but full fields of Sophias is boring. Now I have a dilemma-be true to my love of Alfas, or run the cool new body from Parma. This is all your fault Chicky

I'll buy one. They do look nice. Well done.

I feel a bit ashamed after Dales great explanation though. Until someone steps up and puts out foam tires and wheels to match true 1/10 reproductions of real cars, the bodies will be what they are. There is more to function (getting them to fit the scale chassis and tires) than form (a perfect scale representation), but at least they don't look like doorstops and as stated they are recognizable.

Calling all pan car dudes in the Los Angeles area. I am trying to get a core of guys that want to run pan cars at least once a month at Crystal Park Raceway. At the moment we meet for racing the 3rd Saturday of the month. I want to push for the pro 10 class but willing to go World GT if the majority rules. The track as you will see is a nice big track and would be ideal for Pro 10. Currently I am running Novak 3.5r, lipo. But again as stated I can easily swap to a 10.5 or 17.5 for World GT. Let me know if you are in the area and see if we can meet up any weekend for practice before racing.

Here are some recent pictures of the track and of my car:

One of the nitro guys I see at the track running an electric touring car

He is taking appropriate measures to avoid sunburn on his tires.

He has suntan lotion on the tires because it helps with traction on dusty tracks.

Yes that is suntan lotion. On non race weekends when the track is not preped, it is dusty and slip and slid. I use Jack the Gripper and cover it with suntan lotion so it last a little longer. Works well.

I used one of these bodies this weekend for the first time. I was worried that it wouldn't have enough steering, most of the other guys are running Mulsanes.

WOW! This thing stuck like glue and I was able to stay on power much more than I have been with my Mulsane. I was pleasantly surprised and am putting my mulsane up with the rest of the bodies I don't use anymore.
