Roar allows rotor's up too a 12.51mm as long as the shaft the magnet is mounted on is 7.25mm. ROAR dosen't limit it to what the motor was approved with. I emailed Dawn about this and that was the responce I got.

But I do agree it should ONLY be allowed to run with what it was submitted and approved with.

My main concern is that locally (and probably elsewhere) racers are treating the stock classes as if they are modified with turn limits. Modified 12.5 rotors (less than 7.25mm shaft) and rotors larger than 12.5 are commonly used.

Hi guys,

Motor rules are as follows: No hybrid motors. You cannot run a rotor from xyz company in a can from abc company. Maximum rotor size in 17.5,13.5,10.5 is 12.51mm.

Here are the full details of the rotor specs:

External shaft diameter must be 0.125inches (3.175mm). Only one piece, two pole Neodymium sintered, or Ferrite (Ceramic)magnetic rotors are permitted. The magnet length shall be 25.0 +/- 1.00mm not including any non-magnetic balancing material. The magnet outside diameter shall be
a maximum of 12.51 mm, no tolerance, for the entire length of the magnet. The shaft outside diameter, where the magnet is mounted, shall be 7.25 +/- 0.150mm for the entire length of the magnet. This dimension must be measurable without destroying
the rotor.

Fans: 1 fan with a maximum size of 31mm will be allowed on all cars.

Aftermarket heat sinks will be allowed to be run on motors.

These specs should be on the site very soon. The site will have its latest update soon.

I hope this helps everyone.
Thanks
Scotty

Tommorrow I will have another big announcement about another big name racer joining us for the IIC. Lets see if anybody can guess. Maybe there is a bonus lap in it for the first to guess?

Scotty, just to clarify, does this mean 1 fan in total for the car, or can you have one on the motor and one on the speed control?

Thanks

Now I'm trying to figure out how much thrust I can get out of a 31mm fan.
