Default Jaco Tires

Scotty, Boomer

What tire compound is going to be used in TC rubber? Green or blue.

Thanks,
Sean

Hi Everyone,

Hard to believe that the summer is halfway over and the IIC is just on the horizon. All of us have been busy getting things ready for the event and we are very excited to get to Sin City. Sorry I have been away from here for a bit, but I had some overseas events I had to go announce and internet was not really an option for me. I will try to scroll back and answer some questions as I see them, but If I miss any, please re post.

SEAN: Jaco Blue will be the tire.
ADVIL: Funny hahahaha. nice one.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPP: Yes weight for Foam is 1343grams
STILLBILL: Nice thanks for the reminder of rule 4.

it is going to be so much fun having Charlie with us all week.

Here are some rules for you guys to start ...... talking about.

BATTS: Just as in last year, Lipos must be Hard Case. Must charge them in a Lipo Sack.
Max Voltage at tech will be measured and is 8.44 for 2s
1s is 4.22

You can see that we lowered the weight limit for both Foam and Rubber classes for Lipo Batteries. No reason to have to stick 3 sticks of lead on your chassis.
Rubber = 1425g
Foam = 1343g

Ride height
1/12 = 3mm
WGT = 4MM
Rubber Sedan = 5mm
Foam Sedan = 4mm

Motors:
We are not going to tag motors or mark them.
We will have a inductance meter in tech and we will be teching motors for inductance. This will be set up at the opening of the event on Tuesday Morning. So if you would like your motor checked before qualifications starts, you will be able to do that. During quals and finals, we will be checking motors for legality.

Tech procedures:
As in each IIC. We will be checking, Batt Voltage. Weight. Ride Height, Wing no higher that roof and Motors. Simple checks to ensure that all are the same and fun is the focus.

Tires:
For rubber tire classes, it will be the Jaco Blue tires that we will be using. These tires will be marked at registration and these marked ones are what you must use during quals and finals. If you are running multiple rubber tire classes, you can NOT switch tires between classes. 13.5 tires can only run in the 13.5 class.
WGT: We will again be using the Jaco Spec WGT tires. They worked awesome last year and we will again be using them. They will also be marked during registration and you must use these during quals and finals.

AMATEUR:
Remember this is for non sponsored drivers only. if you are sponsored you need to let us know and i will change you to the 13.5 class. if we find out you are getting support of any kind and we are at the event, you will be welcome to watch from the seating area, because you will not be watching from the drivers stand. As in last years Amateur class. You will not be allowed to have any RC Company logo or decal on the car/body and you will not be allowed to wear any clothing advertising any companies.

I am sure you guys will have questions, so please let me know and I will get to them as quickly as I can.

Hope you guys are starting to get some practice in and get ready for another great IIC.

Thanks
Scotty

i am New to the IIC, and will likely enter Amateur. Would wearing a JBRL, or local racing club shirt be against the shirt rule?

Sounds good but I did see several exceptions to the dress code last year. Please bring something really ugly to make the offenders wear.

Scotty, for TC 13.5 rubber and TC mod rubber, is it one set must last you the entire event, or can you buy a number of sets?

They will give you one set this year with registration, but you will have the option to buy more sets if you think it is necessary.

Hi Scotty, in rubber i guess the rule for body is 'GBS' tagged but what about minimum height at roof center or we just mount them and slam'em?

thanks
