A quick question on traction compound:

Which one will be allowed this year?

Do we have to buy it at the race, or can we bring our own if we have some already?

thanks

See you in two weeks at Reedy
I am with tim. specifically the wgt class. so if you have any form of sponsorship, 100%, 50%, etc. does that put you in expert wgt?

It has always been Jack the Gripper and you will get it as part of your goodie bag at registration. At least that is how it has been for the last 4 races.

scotty, please claify if the slower wgt class will be an amature (non sponsored) only, or just a slower option so us hacks won't have to run with the factory hacks like smyka.

KBLACKWELL: Yeti is correct, it is Jack the Gripper only for allowed tire traction and it will be provided as part of your goddie bag. So you don't have to bring your own.

THEISGROUP: The Expert WGT class is for full sponsored racers. Drivers with 50% deals can still run WGT. This is not an amature class.

ALDENTE: Wow are you trying to throw me under the Smyka bus. I will choose to answer your question this way......
The separation between WGT and Xpert WGT is that the drivers with full sponsorship will run in the Expert class. With many of the 100% drivers now participating in the WGT class, I felt that it has lost the reason why it was conceived to give the average Joe's a class to run in that is less technical than touring car but even more fun. Since most of the main manufacturers are producing WGT chassis and having their team drivers run this class now, I felt it was time to separate it. This change was not done with the Pro's in mind but rather for the regular racer.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Thanks
Scotty

So what are the body rules looking like? I know that there are mixed views of bodies like the Sophia GT and the Parma DB9 as it relates to realism vs. performance.

ALDENTE: Wow you really love Smyka. I can feel it.. No you can not run both.

TRACKDESIGNER: How are you. Body wise I am not ready to post that yet.
Looks like there will be some new bodies coming out very soon. So I want to check those first.

Thanks for the questions guys.

Cool 1C Lipo pack!

I ran the 1/12 scale 17.5 last year and had a blast! I'd like to run it again but here in the west coast not many carpet tracks and I haven't seen any 1C batteries. Any suggestions on internet sites or distributors that you would recommend?
Thanks in advance!
