I'm sure settings wise, following the setup from your manual will do for now.
change ONE THING AT A TIME.try not to go too drastic as well.
the most important is tyres.

other than that , practice x practice x practice.

Practice, practice, practice and learn from your mistakes. Every time your put your Car down on the Track, it should be a learning experience.

Don't fall into the hop-up of the week syndrome as many do. Get to know your Car and what to expect out of it from corner to corner.

Lastly, do not be afraid to seek out the advice of the more experienced racers at the track.

Start going around the track slowly, then every lap slowly speed up untill you can drive it perfectly at high speeds.

Default Slower is Faster

Guys;

Basically you want to be able to go around the Track as fast as possible WITHOUT Crashing.

Since the clock is running the entire time of a race, each time you crash or hit the boards, it adds seconds to your lap times. This means less total laps in any given time period.

If you must drive slower than everybody else to run clean laps, then do so. The speed will come in time as you become more proficient driving (and not overnight).

Pops thats what the slower is faster means.because as you get faster and smoother your car looks slower to you.Its not how fast you go its how slow you go fast.

As a new racer myself here is what I learned.

one: Practice is the secret I know it sounds simple but its so important I cant stress it enough.

two: Gather information. Having access to the web gives you an advantage. Read every forum ya think is worthy. There is enough information just in this forum to make you an expert at everything.
Get books, the xxx-main set up guide will help imensely.

three: Dont neglect maintainence. After every race I completely strip my car down to clean and inspect everything. If you dont do this often there is going to be bent and broken things that you dont know about affecting your setup. Something I learned racing dirt cars for years is that if I spend just ten minutes more time working on my car, that the guy behind me didnt or did something picky and anal that he didnt. My car will be faster.

four: Until you get alot better and I mean alot. Dont waste your money on high priced batteries and fancy anodized parts. Your a rookie so one good hit to the boards can make your high dollar packs no better than a 1.14average voltage pack, and bent your fancy anodized parts. also try making things yourself why buy something you can make. Spent your money on good pit equipment this is where alot of speed is.

five: Have fun. You just spent hundreds of dollars to drive a scale car around on a scale track. Getting mad and frustrated will slow you down. Dont let it get to you and dont let others ignorance get to you. If you want revenge practice and kickthat guys tail every week. And dont give up its going to take a long time to be a pro.

I hope to Im standing next to ya on the stand at the world championships someday.

Speedie
