My BD5 ready to run weight 1420gr (inculding body) with no extra weight on the chassis.
By watching some pictures from last weekend ETS race I noticed that Martin add weight in front, middle and in the back of the car so 70gr maybe more). That make the car almost reach 1500gr!?

Why add so much weight on the car when the minimum weight limit for the car is 1350gr?
Do you ride the car with 50-50 front and rear weight balance?
Doesn't this extra weight have a negative impact on the car's performances?

For US customers, look here. This is not a hobbyshop. A full scale raceshop, but they sell Yokomo.

+1.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but they have provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in my 22 years in this hobby. Right up there with Nexus.

I just ordered the last r12 they had in stock and naturally I was skeptical because I couldn't believe that anyone in the US had Yokomo stuff. My order should be here Monday!

They are good people. The last thing they want is unhappy customers. But as you guys know, its tuff to get Yokomo in the USA so if they dont have something it will take them a few weeks to re-stock. You'll be surprised at what they do have in stock and what they dont... be patient, its coming! I picked up a BDM that was missing quite a few random parts and they had EVERYTHING I needed to get it going. Lots of BD5 and B-Max stuff too.

I would love a BD-5 but at $635 I am forced to look for something else. Like a photon. Even the mighty T3 is less than that.

Ohhh I hear ya. Yokomo kits are not cheap. But the parts are reasonable. Xray.. yeah the kit is $500 but then $37 for a sway bar set for ONE end of the car and $11 bucks for a pair of springs...not to mention all the most common broken parts c-hubs, arms and knuckles coming in singles at $7 bucks a pop. Motor mount $43 dollars! Lower suspension mount blocks $27! And those are Nexus prices, some of the best around. At some point you start to wonder...
