Can i use orion lipo's with the standard chassis and the lipo top deck? The connectors go in in the upper side of the lipo.
im not 100% sure, but i think those lipos wont fit under the top deck. My SMC packs are a tight fit. If there any higher, they wont fit

Congrats to Team Yokomo for the EFRA Indoor championship win! Roland's and the car's performance were certainly impressive. Video highlights are here: http://news.efra.ws/

Does anybody know who Roland's mechanic is??

Well another TiTC has come and gone, nice to see the old faces as well as the new. I had a very disappointing time with my BD5. the car just would not get close to creating the grip that other brands of cars could, even after trying various changes suggested by others including a couple of team Yokomo drivers.
The leading cars were lapping at 17 seconds flat all weekend, I was flat out getting off an 18.1, and by the time of the finals arrived, the car was just a drift beast, just horrid to drive and made and easy target to get nailed by a no talented Chinese racer.
The extreme humidity with 4 hour turn around between rounds was almost unbearable, making for hard long days of waiting for things to happen.
If entries remain at the same level without a change in format, I doubt I will return in future.

Exclamation Potential Yokomo Purchase

Hi Guys

I am looking to get a TC within the next couple weeks to begin racing by end of next month. I previously races a "Yokomo Worlds" shaft drive car that was loaded with all the options
Now I am again looking to Elwyn or another to guide me in deciding on a car. I know I will be running Li-po's and I want a chassis that will work without investing hundreds more in hop ups etc just so I do not experience fitament issues with the packs.
The BD5 does not seem well suited for Li-Po's unless you order the optional chassis and new top plate which adds $$$. I am already in Ca, USA so sourcing spares will not be the easiest...

Any suggestions? The local track owner says go X-Ray T3 and don't look back...am I doomed or can I show some Yokomo pride and be different without spending $800 on a car kit?

i spoke with ronald regarding the new car ,the topdeck isnt higher...but the shape of the topdeck is little different so that higher lipos dont touch the topdeck and to have a symetrie topdeck, they changed the motor mount a little

i could be wrong but it looks like they are still packaging a front one way with it. i would prefer if they'd bundle a spool with it and sell at a lower price.

They are not being sold in the US. Contact Elwyn at Hobby Haven in Malaysia, he will have the kits when they are available
