Have a question on the option parts. Theres a steering bellcrank for the bd5 that says 8mm on it. Is that one just 8mm wider?

The option one isnt 8mm wider. Not sure what it means but i remember Martin saying that the std is 10mm, and the 8 makes the cars 'Deadzone' less, so its more twitchy and responsive

I think you are asking if most of the parts are the same from the old SD or BD models. If so there are very few that are the same or that will work.
Are far as I can remember only the diff's, belts and some other small parts are the same.

Anyone have any release information on the BD-5 new chassis that Martin and others have been using?

I think you are talking about the "lipo chassis" wihtout the cells slots. Should be released in March or April (rumours)
Will see...
