The chatter has stopped since I put the jrxs lcds on...It definitely feels better...just that the laptimes don't seem to prove it

thats the general assumption on my side as well fpart! The LCD cvd's remove all hints of CVD chatter from the spool but do zip for performance. If you can live with the awful sounds the spool produces then you can stick it out with the original CVD's.

I would assume it would prolong ball bearing life in the steering knuckle because the LCD reduces vibrations? I could be wrong.

Yes martin uses team bomber low friction belts

I dont even have a BD-5 but just the same I would want rid of the CVD chatter. Even if it didnt help the performance. The noise would be distracting and the smoothness inspires confidnece. Even if its just in your head.

If chatter removed, the car should be faster since no vibration during cornering.......

Hi Billy,

Iím sorry about the delay. I have all the details but havenít been able to put everything together for you. I will email you an information pack by the end of the weekend.

Sorry guys, it is out of my control and I am trying harder than you could ever imagine. I am e-mailing or calling them at least twice a week. They are probably tired of hearing from me, lol.

Do they all chatter pretty bad or is it something particular that makes them do that? Like running a spool or running mod.

So has anyone modded the rear diffs to fit blades yet? Got any pics? After 2.5 race weekends, mine are starting to wear. Mainly the right side (maybe because of the fast and slow right hand turns?) Diff is still super smooth. Car handles awesome. Just been testing some.. other stuff. Fried 2 17.5 motors today. Not good. haha. But car was fast.

I did have one issue where the spool screws for the pulley backed out and I lost them. I think the screw heads are too small. I ended up taking the screws from my oneway pulley and adding very tiny lock washers to them along with a ton more loctite. The plastic outdrives are holding up very good too for the new BD5 spool. I'm using them as is with the rings on the cups.

I know of a few XRAY team drivers who tried the ECS(same thing as LCD) and said they went slower with them and went back to CVD's.

I dont mind the sound it makes as it lets people know I am coming

but I feel that the tamiya out drives were stronger as they use an aluminium tube instead of the ring on the yokomo
