Why not just run them. Then when they wear out, you can then dremel them down to fit your XRay blades. This way, you can see how bad they wear/if they wear. Also, you have to measure how thick the pins are, and how big the ball end is. I posted a pic of a Tamiya 416 axle ball/pin end vs an XRay. XRay was much larger. So the blades would not work properly on a Tamiya. May be true with a Yokomo as well.

i also would like to see how u do it for the rear diff too....i also worry if the rear diff will wear out fast as i use alots of braking....

i saw team bomber did produce a front solid spool for BD which have a blade for it....i think this will last longer than d current alum bd5 spool...

Has anyone had chance to compare himself bd5 to 008 or 009 and 416? I am thinking which way to go... Always have been yokomo fan...

Why not just use a TC5R spool?

Yes, run them till they have alittle wear then mill them for blades. I have done this and it works for the BD. I have used the corally blade as it is the best fitting blade on the BD, If the BD5 bone size is the same as the BD then a corally blade is the one to use.
