Good to hear your honest opinions on the car. Would like to hear from other owners to see if they are having the same issues.

I have been going through the final assembly and am getting very disapointed with the quality of the car. I would swear that some components have been out sourced to China or India when you look at these.
Things like the top deck will not align with the front and rear bulk head and motor mount screw holes and cause a tweak in the chassis. The top deck is also extremely thin around the motor mount after the removal of material to clear the motor and I bet it would be the first place to break in a decent hit.
The anodising and finish on some alloy parts are different colours ranging from Tamyia blue to the true dark blue.

I have sent an email with photos off to Yokomo, as well as RCchamp asking to forward it onto Yokomo for comments.
At this point of time, I would not recommend this car to anyone until the problems can be solved.
dang man, that sounds so sucky. How about the lack of a CVD blade and a single servo mount? are those also issues? they would be to me but after hearing the top deck doesn't align and mismatched anodizing...

Fart,

I wonder if yours was just made in a bad batch..
Like meaning they screwed up that kit in the factory...
so some were made right and some were not

Just unlucky, but I'm sure you can exchange the whole thing to Yokomo right?
I mean it's a facotry defect, they should!

Good Luck and let us know what happens

also did you spent around $520 for this also? (Just curious)

Let's see how things go on the track.

I am somewhat surprised in regard to parts fitment.

The car is probably going to be quite good.
only reason I'm not getting one right this second is the lack of a US distributor and price (probably will drop after a while).....once and if that happens I'll jump right on one.

Stop bashing something you haven't used or haven't even seen...

I've had just about every Yok released as well as most other brand cars....and never needed blades..just grease the ends every now and then....and it's good to go....
blades are just another part to keep checking and another expense.
If anyone is running mod then that person should expect to be changing parts left and right for any brand car, just a fact...blades, diffs, belts, suspension...etc..etc...they all wear out on any car.
think I've only broken one outdrive after a major mistake by me.

who knows perhaps just a few QA issues with the first batches...since it seems they were trying to make release date.
Only the few lucky ones can say for sure.

Wish I had one.

Why is there so much discussion bout the one servo mount?

on the BD we never used the outer one anyway and on my current prototype I don't use any ... and trust me if the servo would move just the slightest I'd notice ....

for the topdeck ... not sure what could cause this
I'd jsut try to remove the bulkheads and put them on the chassi once again

I agree...
I don't know about others, but on the SD SSG all the guys I knew running it, we all moved the servo from the way it was mounted from factory (sideways like the Cyclone and TC5) to how it is mounted on the BD (facing forwards). This meant only 1, or sometimes no servo mounts, and it was never a problem and the car went better with the servo like this.

I like the design of the servo mount system on this car, the sticking out mount on the BD only ever caused problems for me scraping along the ground.

Fully...

Depending how much the kit is when the price settles I will be very tempted to jump back to Yokomo
