I noticed that Ronald uses the aluminium rear and front uni shaft...

Thanks...
rotation weight will be lower but the risk is the aluminium might break in the front...

if you run front plastic spool cup then can consider to run aluminium uj as when u braking, the plastic spool cup have flexibility.

Chu, right then again we are talking about weight advantage so I assume this has minimal benefits on performance (correct me if I'm wrong). I was tempted to go for aluminium uj but need more info before lunging on buying it.

And taking into consideration on the track might as well stick on the steel uj as you know what I mean Chu...

Thanks Chu...Hope to hear and race with you in the future...

i think u only need it when u need just a little more advantage to win your rival...since the top 10 driver will be very very close battle....

but it'll break if u mistakely hit something hard....i would suggest u stay with steel UJ ...

i will b heading brunei driftech race...hehe...

Default Weight Block at the center (20g)

To BD5 guru's, please advise about the weight block (20g) at the center of the chasis the function just not as to add weight, but it can incress steering? Is this true. If this right pleaese explain how this works?

And how about the 2pcs 15g at the front. What its function?

I am no guru but I give it a try to explain. The middle weight is merely to balance the car L and R and concentrate the weight mostly to the centre. This helps in the car handling. The 2 pcs of 15 g weight at the front is also to balance the weight F and R in addition it also increases the steering as the weight transfer is shifted to the front during corner entry.

Hope other can correct me if I'm wrong.

I got pictures of Ronald Volker's car from the Euros last weekend.

You can find them all along with the full event coverage at www.EFRA.ws. The pictures can be found in the gallery (link top right) and the news from the event is on the main page.

Yannic and Ronald were running some slightly different setups and parts. I understand Yokomo are trialling a number of different options back-to-back and took both cars back to Japan to analyse both further.

Hope this helps someone, but this weekend I raced in an indoor carpet event in 17.5t boosted with foams where additive was not allowed. I won the event and here's my setup.
