WOW, I only race on asphalt but I do race on a track with some nasty boards and I have never broke anything but plastic spool outdrives. Do you have any pictures or a link to the track you race at? I am just curious what it looks like. You could change to the aluminum c-hubs and spindles, they are prone to bend though in a super hard hit, but might take more abuse than the others.

I'm gonna try the aluminum C-hubs with plastic arms and knuckles but, it's next year country now. I was thinking about trying to fit Xray arms / hubs / knuckles but that's sacrilege, isn't it.

Here's a link to the video of the 17.5 A main unfortunately, I had to run my TC6 with no setup time for this one as the BD5 was of course, broken.

maybe the long axle bits sticking out were catching on the boards and ripping your front end. just my thoughts.

The track does look tough. Is that the CRC track barriers? Are others having the same problems? Trying the aluminum stuff is probably your only choice. I would say if you are hitting the boards alot, its not going to matter what brand parts you have on it, its going to break.

All my axles are trimmed flush with the wheel nuts.

Yup, CRC boards, I don't hit them a lot but, I do get greedy in the corners now and then. As Johnny Wishbone mentioned it was a very tough track, fairly bumpy with small direction changes and hard corners. Just a light tap on a corner board and the front wheel disappears into the body. Still, even the brittle TCX's didn't break as much as I did, with my hard bumper and the Kydex wing behind the splitter.

I have seen alot of times with boards is that when you are turning the wheel is out from the body and it is the tire that grabs the board and then causes the breakage, thats why the big front bumpers and braces arent helping the problem.
