How do you guys find the steering throw on BD5? Mine has 28deg full lock, and I find it has a bit lack of steering to my liking. The new TRF417 got up to 30degs steering throw, when I tested a friend's TRF, the steering is abundant. If you have any method of increasing the full steering lock, pls advice me. BTW at the moment I m using the optional 8mm steering plate.

If you aim to have more steering try to reduce the rear toe-in if, normally i use 3° sometimes 2,5° and car is very nice. Also depend a lot on your setup. For my experience have a lot of steering doesn't mean to have a car able to turn better.
Normally on my car i have 26/27°deg sometimes reduced at 20 (more or less)
Instead if you really want really a car with more than 30° of steering i can't help you, for me is not necessary

Thanks for replying. I have already install 2.5 deg rear toe block. My local track has lots of slow 180 deg corners. Thats why i want more steering. The Trf with 30degs steering throw clearly has an advantage over my car. They can easily dive in speed into the corners while i have to brake early to make the corners.
Anyway i ll try to find more steering using set up again.

I m having the same issue as you too. I was advised to reduce the rear toe, put on harder rear sway bar and maybe raising the rear roll center. I have yet to try the set up though, maybe this weekend.

As dameetz said i m in the same situation.. My local track is very tecnical and in 180* turns i lose really a lot from other cars because if i do not slow down more than the orbers i m out of the turn!!
This is pretty sad because for the rest the CAR locks good!

I do not know exactly how many degrees more i do need but for sure i need them even considering that on the radio everything is at maximum and that i use the same servo i used on the previous car!

8mm link will help?
Will help reducing the play on the steering mount??

Beans! I used to get them from Yokomo USA. Yesterday when I tried to order, it went to a page that said they had stopped selling parts as of Dec. 31, 2008. I find it hard to believe that there is no parts support!!! Don
