Most of the packs we use in USA now don't have the humps on them. My only concern is how we keep the packs with no humps in the chassis. I had been using the top lipo brace but would prefer not to.

it has tape slots so the tape can go normally (lenghways), and across the the battery aswell

Does anyone have the part # of the 4mm wheel hexs and know where I can get them.

Looks like Yokomo will be at their old games again and release a new car every 3 to 6 months so the old cars will be worthless on the second hand market.
The Xray T3 is looking even more inviting.

well, it's still better as they keep on developing following the RC trend.. you dont need to buy whole car....u can just get d lipo chassis, motor mount and upperdeck....then your car become bd5W....

noone like d six slot chassis anymore......

I would be very surprised if Yokomo release it with a spool, not their way of thinking as they like to look after their home market.

So anyone know any information on the wheel hexs ???

Another thing I moticed over the week end, I was watching another BD5 racing and the amount of chatter in the front end through the corners was so bad it chattered most of the way down the straights.
The handling of the car was not what I would call anything special either.

If you were at sma watching me, it was probably just the ballcups being loose.

I don't know the hexs # for 4mm, the original ones are 5mm and i have the old ones from the BD at 5,5m
I bought the tamiya shims to put over the hex for to adjyust the tyre width.

About the spool i think only the Japanese Kits exit with the One Way, i bought 4 BD5 (for me and some friends) from Elwyn/Hobbyhaven, and they have the spool. Another friend of mine has bought a BD5 in Hong Kong and he had inside the one way. In Europe the BD5 is sold with the spool...so i think Yokomo doesn't look at the own market but you have to ceck where and what you are buying and ask what you are looking for.

About the chattering i don't have any problem, car is perfect for me. During a corner may be depend how much steering do you have...but on a stright i don't have any idea, my car is very smooth and pretty fast. The real limit is the "driver"

Hoping this can help you, apologize my English

No problem with your english.
I mainly want to narrow the track to get more grip on our slippery tracks here, so going the other way is not the plan. I still have some parts left over from my BD's so what you have done would be easy.
Most cars chatter around corners with a spool in them.
But i have noticed that defcone's car behaves like mine with the chatter, though I usually use a less powerful motor and the cars become unpredictable, hard to do consistent laps.

defcone,
I dont think that the slop you say you have is any worse than a new kit. Of the 2 brand new BD5's I have bought, both are like tamiya's with the slop in the ball cups, suspension arm pivots and axle bearings straight out of the boxes.

Looks like the hexs are a part that are available to the factory guys and not to guys who support their efforts.
Might have to machine a set down the way its looking, more custom made parts that other manufactures offer off the shelf.

I might have to bite the bullet and take the massive loss of money and sell both of my cars soon, so watch out for the specials.
