I found out that my bd5 runs better as a stiffer car, with 1.4 and 1.3 roll bars. tightening the rear diff a bit more gave a heap more of on power steering. Now it's really good on my track after I got those issues sorted.

Martin, I noticed that you are not running the steering top brace on your steering rack. Do you get any lower plate chassis flex with this setup. Can I do it with the older chassis or do I need the newer lipo chassis to be able to run without the upper bridge.

Thanks,

it gives you a little bit more flex in the front, just minor. there are some tracks where you can feel it and some where you cannot.

generally not very good when traction is high as it makes the car feel unprecise

and generally not good when you have high corner dots as you will bend your steering posts.

I just test it from time to time when traction is really low and as I said. there are tracks where it is good

Does anyone know the number of teeth of the front and rear belts for the BD and BD-5?

I consulted my good 'ol friend google, and came up empty. I downloaded the manual, and its in japanese.

Thanks

i used them on asphalt...big or technical track .....give you better entry steering but u need to add 0.5mm on the wheel Hex to compensate the front width of your car..

on carpet, they prefer wider front to make the car less aggressive and to reduce traction roll too...
