First you have to know the excat watt rating. If you parallel both, you have to add the watts, fx. 80+80 (if that's the rating). Thias will give 160 watt. Afterwards, you use the formulas above.

I have two 10 bulb strings of 1157 bulbs. This is supposed to be a 20 Amp draw.

Using a proper meter

String one, Wal-Mart bulbs: 16 Amp draw @ 7.2 V
String two, White box bulbs from auto parts store: 22 Amp draw @ 7.2 V

Just goes to show that not all bulbs a created equally. I so agree that the actual amp draw is not so important, as long as you have a decent load.

I would also like to point out that using a cut off device is also very important. Batteries should not be over discharged.

Good point. That's why I dont use bulbs myself.
