Default Tekin G10 ESC - Max Battery

Hi all,

I have a Tekin G10 in my car running 2400MAH NICD pack. I'm wondering, will my speed control be able to handle NIMH battery packs in the 3,4 thousands?

I'm not too sure how to calculate the specs and voltage, etc...not experienced enough.

This is my ESC:

Thanks

mAh is irrelevant, it's the maximum voltage you have to watch out for. The G10 is rated to 10 cells above a 12T and 8 cells with 12T or lower.

mAh is the capacity of the batteries, how long they will last for you. It's like your gas tank capacity. I ran 4600's all day before making the switch to brushless/Lipo.

A little off topic here, but I still run a Tekin G10 (which I bought in 1998) with a Trinity CO27 motor and Trinity 4500 LiPro (battery has built-in cutoff). This combination has worked great in rubber tire/touring car and 2wd off-road buggies and trucks. The G10 has to be one of the best ESC's ever built!!

ok, thanks. I run 6 cell packs and I want to grab 4800 packs. Do I have to verify the voltage? Is it usualy 7.2 volts? Do I charge the packs any differently (I still need to buy a charger for NIMH). I currently have a 6turn motor in my car. Can I just grab 4800's and run them in my car?
