Default gearing for a 10.5 motor *help*

watz a good starting off point for a 10.5 motor for a large track????

For rubber tires start at around a 5.0 FDR. Go from there based on temp, performance, etc.

It's going to depend on your motor. i recommend starting at 5.2 fdr(38.4m roll out). this is good for something like a novak. and i generally run speed passion and i run up to as much as 4.6 fdr(43.4m roll out). but when running high gearing like that you need a good fan heatsink and i recommend running fan at 7.2 volt if the weather is hot. also you can adjust timing on the esc depending on what esc you have usually somewhere between half and 3/4 of what the esc can do usually works good! on my gt1.1 i run 18.75 degrees religously.
