Default 12th RX pack

I know the topic has been covered but I can't find the posts

I want to use an RX pack in my 12th with an LRP Quantum ESC.....what do I have to do ?? Do I just plug the pack in or do I need to snip a wire on the LRP ?

You need top remove the red (+) wire from the plug on the speedo (the speedo is powered by the main battery and doesn't need the extra rx current).

No need to snip the wire, you can normally remove it from the plastic plug by lifting or pressing a plastic or metal tab, then just wrap the remaining wire and connector up, and put it back in when you need to run the speedo in a car without an rx pack.

The Quantum comp will run quite happily with the reciever red wire still plugged in. Just don't switch the ESC on, and use a switch on the Reciever pack to turn the car on/off.

Will the gt-7 be the same way? I am currently running mine with the red wire removed, but if I can leave it in and only have to switch on the rx pack that would be better.
