Cheers
According to the R/C world magazine, it will be released in Japan this December!

The Yokomo drift tyres look awesome! like the real thing but very skinny and yes they have rings. The actual compound is quite hard like a pvc pipe someone mentioned.

One of the Yokomo drivers actually gave me a set of rims with pvc piping fitted onto the rim to try it out! all I can say is that it's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Just got to wait for the shells to be released and I'll drift while waiting for my batteries to charge! sugoi ne!

Default pro drivers

I just had the rare chance to work in the tech inspection area at the 1/8 scale on road worlds in Hamilton ohio in September. we were watching everything closely, and if something was wrong, the run in which the out of spec car was raced in was thrown out.
David Spashett had just ran an awesome qualifier. it was I believe the third fastest run at the event. unfortunatly his car weighed in 10 grams light. we had to throw out his run. it goes without saying there is alot at stake for a team driver to perform at his best level and of course win. when we told him of his disqualification, his pit person didn't say a word and we didn't here anything negative from him or his team. I have seen drivers explode over minor infractions that didn't cause a disqualification, but here is a guy who had a run thrown out that could have put in in a very good spot to win the world championship, and he took it like a man. He is a true Professional.
