Help!!! My brushless motor sounds very loud
My GM Evo3 sounds very loud as you can see on this video.Do you think it's normal? Pinion and spur are new, bearings are almost new and i reoiled them yesterday, i cleaned everything inside so what else i can do? Thanks in advance guys.

Have you tried it without your pinon gear on almost sounds like gear mesh could be a little tight.....

i know this will sound a little wierd but I had a bad bearing in the diff carrier that made my speedpassion motor sound wierd but my orion sounded fine...That could be it...It had a little loud growl and grind sound and then went to a high pitched whine with a growl....spent $80 bucks on a motor to discover it was a bearing but a lesson learned...

Gear mesh is alright.I know this kind of motors with the fan inside sound louder than others but this is too much.I tried with another rotor (12,5mm) with a smaller fan and it was a little better but still loud.This evening i'll try to replace the bearings with a couple of new.I cannot think anything else.

what pitch re you runnig? try going to 64 instead 48 that will reduce the noise level.

that is very loud mate. But those GM motors are known to sream like hell.
That GM is a very powerful motor and so is the orion but differant makes of motors sound differant. I like a motor that Screams.

As you pull the shaft away from the can, how much movement is there?
That's the only thing I can think of that might make a motor noisy...

To me it looks like a bad motor bearing. If you look closely when the motor winds down and the spur gear comes to a stop the second motor you can see where the spur rocks back and forth freely (as it should against the magnets in the motor). The first motor does not do this when it comes to a stop. The spool down time is also much quicker on the first motor. Something is causing binding, so its either gear mesh or bad motor bearing.

Bad motor bearing was the problem.I replaced both bearings and and that sound disappeared.Thanks guys.
