JRX-S Gearing for tuned 540 motor!!
Hey,
At the moment im racing in modified class, and i want to run stock just to get to know the feel of my cars handleing and so on..
So i bought a Tamiya 540 Sports Tuned motor, and ill need to gear it differently to what i got now.
At the moment im running 24-Pinion and 94-Spur. and my 9x2 Brushed motor is over heating.
The track im running changes every race night. most of the time its short. little straights couple tight corners, and 1 long back straight or 2.
I need a gearing tht keeps the motor going cool, but still good top end and also good bottem end.
I was thinking about buying alot of pinions and spurs to experiment but yeh.

I don't race with that motor myself, but my first thought would be if anyone else at the track does- might be worth asking around there to save the headache and expense of different pinion/spur gears...
