With 7.4v, rubber tire and 9.5T motor you can start with 6.30~6.50 final ratio, I'm running this configuration at a track with a 40m long straightway and fast flowing asphalt circuit.........

Motor temps are around 90ºC, I'm currently running geared at 6.30........

Do you guys use the Automatic Brake? Will the automatic brake create a resistance during on-throttle or the auto-brake will only come-on when off-throttle?

auto brake works at neutral position only.............you can feel it by turning the wheels with the esc and radio switched on and autobrake activated...........

on tight layouts and/or lowgrip surface I use autobrake......but I always want to leave this set at 0.......

I geared 3 teeth less; and, should likely go down another 1-2 teeth.

Watch out about reeving up the motor to full speed without any load. It will just keep climbing to a ridiculous level of RPM. Fun stuff!

Today, I sold off my Spheres...

here goes a couple videos of my practice yesterday.......

www.youtube.com/salvadoriracing

because of the very hot weather I switched to power profile 7, esc settings were 1-7-2-2, and shortened the gear ratio to 6.7 to keep the motor (LRP 9.5T) temp at reasonable levels.........I'm running 7.4v lipo on the videos, also run nimh 6-cell with quite the same laptimes.......
