estimate by the time i replace all the crap parts with the original

SUCKS BIG TIME.
For those who thinks it a bargain---yes-----if you don't run it
I'll never buy copies again serves me right

What a load of rubbish, just because its a copy does not make it a cheap piece of crap, and as if it has fallen apart like that in two runs, perhaps if u used it in a demolition derby perhaps?

Here is a link to a fella that has taken some pics of the Original Pro D and the copy.

http: //s101.photobucket.com/albums/m64/gstoner53/Pro-D/?start=0

All the parts are the same and if it was made a little cheaper, its hardly going to fall apart, all the specs and precision is the same.

Why pay more for a brand name, when you can get the same. If the original Pro D didnt break then why did they produce spare parts for it?

IMO you shouldnt judge something before you actually start using it and show proof of its such poor quality!

Let me know your thoughts guys, try keep them positive hey.

hi guys, i own the clone pro-d and the clone xray..here's my view:

Xray T2009 foam spec CLONE
- its a nice cheap chassis...u just need to get the aloy diff halves f&R and also the aloy blocks to make it as durable as the original
-oh if u r lucky, u'll get a nice carbon decks...if ur not, u have to disassemble ur chassis, heat up the carbon part and sandwich them with sumthing heavy and flat to get flat carbon parts...i did it by sandwiching my carbon parts and leave it under the sun and rain for 3days...it turns out realy good...

buy the alloy diff halves for front and rear, buy the aloy blocks, sandwich the carbon parts, assemble it all together, n u will have a durable chassis..IMO, after these steps, the CLONE = the ORIGINAL..hell yeah!

HPI Pro-D CLONE
-juz got this chassis from a friend...i can say it is better than the Xray out of the box...and it looks really close to the real thing...exept for the HPI printouts and emboss all over the chassis on the real thing...
-everything is superb...juz 2 things needs to b changed:
a] change the diff and drive gears to the original ones (i used kyosho tf5's..fits nicely)..the Clone gears is not durable and not meshed nicely..oh and make sure to put spacers on the diffs..
b] get new screws...the clone ones are easy to b rounded if u r not gentle..

all n all, it drifts like a crab...sideways...lol

well dats my review..overall..i love both of these clones...gonna get myself a 416 clone too...i heard the UJs are fragile...lol...

to me, these clones or imitations is the closest i can get to the real thing...bcoz i really cant get my hands on the real thing...sure it has some downsides, but all can b fixed with a cost waaay less than buying the real thing...

flame me all u want...thats my point of view..not all people in the world are god damn rich u kno...
