Just a quick storey about Rommel's Chassis protectors.

I purchased 2 for my TC5R in late 2008. I race the car at local asphalt club races (the track is a parking-lot rough at best). Late last year after the season was over I ordered a new TC5R chassis and rebuilt my car. The old chassis looked beat-up scratched and so on, a hard season of racing. So after I finished rebuilding my car, my son brings in this TC5R chassis that looked just like new - I asked where he found this chassis - he said it was my old one - he just took off the old chassis protector. I was blown away, the chassis looked new except for the rear edges which had worn down some. After I saw this I was sold, I put the second TC5R chassis protector from my original purchase in 2008 on my new chassis - these things work.

Fine if you want to do it your self. He has taken the time to map out all screw holes and cut outs that alone is worth the price to me.

Really good to hear of the durability from a racer over an entire season and appreciate you sharing this.

The film is 7mil itself, considered 8mil with backing.

MIL=Unit of length for 1/1000 of an inch (.001”). Used in expressing thickness of films. 1 MIL = 25 microns.

I will put up for future consideration as I'm trying my best to keep up with new releases and requests

With my chassis fully built, removed the screw hole openings, peeled protector backing, sprayed a little windex on it, applied it to the 416X underside, worked bubbles out and used a hair dryer to speed up the process. It's nice and worth every penny!!!

I don't know if everyone know's this, but you actually get 2 chassis protectors for $19.99.
