Have you thought about offering a price for people who want to ship you their brand new chassis for you to use as a template for models you otherwise would have no reason to produce, like the Tamiya Evo IV?

For example, the customer provides the chassis and return postage, and a special (likely higher) price for your time and effort, then you ship the chassis with the protector back to the customer for him to install. Or is the process of creating the template such that it wouldn't be worth it for you even if you were not paying for the chassis?

Thanks for your time,
-M

Yes I have considered creating a program like that if there is interest. Pricing is what I need input on as far as what people think would be a worthwhile price so I can compare with my costs of creating a protector. I would like to balance covering my costs while providing a fair price as once I create the template I will be able to offer additional ones for sale for certain chassis. I hope more people chime in as I would love to get more opinions on this.

Thanks for your input -M

Just a question, is the protector self-adhesive?

Yes, there is adhesive already applied on the protector. When I applied mine, I used glass cleaner and applied it to the chassis prior to placing installing the protector. This allows you to position the protector how you see fit. After this, just let it dry for a few days and you are all set.

Not yet but if you want to send me an Adobe PDF color scan of bottom of chassis(600 dpi) I will make one for you

For others reading this and don't see their car application I will start doing custom orders. Just PM me your request and I will handle them in order I receive or by demand. Please understand I will only handle a limited number of requests at a time and pricing will be determined for each request.

Requirements:

-Adobe PDF color scan of bottom of chassis of 600 dpi

-Chassis part #

-send to [email protected] and have "chassis protector for __________" as email subject.

I will first send a vinyl cut-out for fitment test and once fitment is confirmed then will make production one available for purchase.

Julius

Being an X auto painter I have applied lots of this stuff to real cars to protect rocker panels and behind the wheels of pick up trucks. Instead of Window cleaner we used to use a mix of 40% isopropyl Alcohol 60% Water and a very little bit of Dish soap in a squirt bottle, (just enough soap to make it bubble up.) The Alcohol makes it set up faster. I have not tried this with this particular product so maybe the person selling it can give some more input on this.

I haven't tried that mixture myself but sounds like a good idea
