I have just installed my tekin rs pro into my 12R5 and I have a problem. I'm running a Novak booster with a 10.5 motor. When I pull full throttle the car will car but then when I try to take off again it stops for about 2 to 3 seconds before taking off again even though the ESC is flashing full throttle. This does not happen in Dual Mode. The spectrum receiver still seems to be getting power as the light stays on however it looks like blue light on the Novak booster dims a bit when the car stops.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get rid of the booster

The guys not using boosters dont seem to have any problems. A Rx pack does the trick

I've been running Novak booster with RS pro and don't have problem.
I don't use lipo cut off on speedy and leave speedy switch off.

I have heard a few people now say that booster's can't cope with voltage drop under acceleration, and that those people have run RX packs with no probs. Personally, I have always run a RX pack and never had a problem with it. Just put a bit of blue tak or something over the switch of the ESC so that it can't be turned on and you should be fine.

Does anyone know what speedcontrol Brad Johnson was running in 13.5 12th scale BEFORE he made the switch to the tekin for the mains at the Novak race?

Thanks

Default Help!

I have not had a chance to race or test and won't get a chance before heading to the Snowbirds. Nothing like showing up cold! Any suggestions for a Tekin RS in a WGT car? I have X12 and Novak 13.5 to run on TP 1S LiPo's. This turbo ESC stuff has me a little perplexed. I had the car running very well with an SXX and the Ballistic motor on 4cells. Just need a place to start as far as roll out and ESC settings for 1s. I have a Novak Booster as well.

Thanks!

Switch on = Voltage cut off protection working

Swtich off = Voltage cut off NOT working.

If you have a N____K booster and are experiencing brown outs, try adding 10 to the push control. Others claim this helps.

You will need to find a different booster because running V203 my 1/12th scale would brown out like twice during the eight minute race.I would try the TQ booster.

1s 17.5, v203

Jon good place to start would be.

Motor at 0, or N.
Boost at 40, RPM 5600-700 ( bottom number pick the lowest)
Turbo Max, ramp profile 1, delay .7
roll around a 75MM

This is a good starting point, drag, push, throttle profile all to preferance.
