Default R/C Tech Live Chat - Wed 9:00CST

Hello Everyone,

We are going to be starting scheduled chats on Wednesday nights at 9:00CST.

Just a little background on the software, to get to the chat page, either click the "Live Chat" at the very top of the forums ( to the right of the Tech Forums Logo ), or by clicking on the Live Chat link on the rctech.net main page.

Click Yes on the window that pops up, and the chat software will load.

Type in a chat name in the "Nick" area, and click where it says "Press me to connect"

Hope to see you there!

If you have any questions/problems, feel free to post here, or ask in the chatroom.

You can also access the chat via mIRC, which is the preferred method (IMO).

Use a client like the freely-available mIRC: http://www.mirc.com

Connect to irc.irchighway.net on port 6667.

Join the channel #rctech

You're in!

I've had a couple International users asking about time.

9:00PM CST is 0300 GMT

Not sure how to convert to GMT?, http://home.hiwaay.net/~krcool/Astro/moon/gmt/ the chart at the bottom of the page has worldwide conversions.

We had a great turn out last week, with a bunch of enthusiastic users and even some factory guys and journalists stopping by. Hope to have even more this week.

Keep in mind that the chat is always open, if you have mIRC just leave it idling in there and somebody will surely stop by!

There shouldn't be a user limit. If you're having problems with the web client, try using mIRC instead.

Live chat tonight!

Sounds like there is still a problem with the client. I am loathe to pay for a Java client but it looks like I may have no other choice. The free ones out there are pathetic at best and horrible at worst.

If anybody gets the message again, copy and paste it for me here if possible.

Using mIRC will always get you arround that message, I believe.
