I will say this...

I ran Magentas and Yellows on my 12th scale and had NO problems what so ever all week long at SnowBirds. No peeling/chunking/glue issues what so ever. I did, however, glue the bead around the rim on the rears and glued the whole sidewall on the fronts to help with handling on the car.

The touring stuff is actually glued better than they used to be so no worries there as well.

Typically yes the blacks take away steering for high grip. We have been seeing lately that they can also add steering. It's a weird thing. You have to try it and see how it works on your track to be sure.
