They really need to come out with a 1st Gen RX7 or maybe a 323 GTX

Questions??

Just got the sway bar kit and need to know a good starting point for what color bars for the front and rear. Run on a medium bite outdoor asphalt preped track.

Pro Tip- Use the rear metal spur holder in the front as well. You have to mod the bearing holder a bit but it can be done. Place a few o-rings inside of the cup as well to keep the center shaft from sliding around.

sure why not, but that would depend on the local rules at your track...

I know the 'open' Cup Racer class at the HPI Challenge is 27t stock or 17.5 - so it would work if there are any HPI Challenges...

That is not the same part that people are having issues with. No one seems to make the front drive cup in Aluminum yet.

When you are driving it is pretty obvious when the front drive cup breaks: all the sudden the car will become tail happy, and it will have a tendency to spin/oversteer. Hopefully HPI will come out with a metal replacement soon.

I'm running an EPIC brushed 19t motor on stock gearing and I've broken 3 front drive cups total. Thankfully one of my machinest friends made me a replacement part out of 7075 T651 Aluminum as a favor (don't ask me for one). I don't think mine will be breaking anytime in the near future.

Has anyone tried their HPI cup racer bodies on any of the Tamiya Mini Cooper chassis?

I bought a pair of Tamiya Group 2 Vw Golf Gti bodies but they donīt fit on the hpi Cup. I tested on an ABC Genetic and they are shorter than the HPI wheelbase. 2-3 mm make a big change. The bodies I bought states that fit on M03 chassis.

but if you flip around the rear around on the CR, you get the shorter wheelbase...

MikeR was running the ABC body on his exotek-chassis'ed CR for a long while

Obviously, I am using the 210mm WB option. I'll post some pics and you'll notice what I am talking about. I donīt know if the bodies I bought are the wrong option, and maybe somebody can suggest something to do, īcause I really want to use a Vw Golf mk1 body on my Cup Racer.
