Try:

Standing the front shocks more upright if you are using the optional front shock tower (outer holes in the tower).

Reduce rear droop.

Run a stiffer spring in the front.

Use thicker shock oil in the front shocks.

The drag brake in the motor can make a setup issue more apparent but should not be considered the cause of you handling issue. I'm using 40% drag brake in my CR.

Use a little blue thread lock on the threads and use the plastic tool to tighten the metal collar/nut onto the metal drive cup.

I've just picked up the Porsche kit and am trying to work out a motor / ESC combo and was thinking of one of the XERUN set-ups.

Reading through here there are lots of different motor / ESC combos but the general view seems to be 17.5T is about right.

Would something like this be OK?
XERUN 17.5T Combo-XS5A Xtreme 60A ESC for Stock Racing
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/XERUN-17-5T-C...item41591429ed

Or do you reckon the ESC is a bit under-done?

Hey guys, I was wondering who else makes spur gears for the cup racer? I already have the 65-67 spur gears from HPI And would like something smaller to gear higher on the pinion.

Does anybody have any links for a good wheel and tire combo for some parking lot bashing? I want something that has good grip. The drift tires at the parking lot by my house make the car almost un-driveable. Its fun to drift it around for a while, but its very difficult to keep the car straight.

I saw some tamiya super grip "60d" tires on ebay. Will those work?

I would prefer to purchase the wheels and tires form an online store instead of ebay.

I also want to go with the tamiya "m" chassis wheels.

Thanks.

Any aluminum options for the front diff input where the center drive shaft attaches to the front diff pinion gear. The 3 pin thing sheered off. Any other options aside from the stock HPI one?

Default budget

It seems the cup racer chassis is a hard-sell at LHS. Once a while, there would be someone buying a Tamiya m chassis kit but cup racer w/ 240Z body has been sitting on the shelf for 2 years.

Are the springs correct in the instruction flyer? Isn't pinks harder than the blues? Shouldn't their positions be swapped?

Thanks for including the base setup.
