has anyone used the spx with a brushed motor?

the reason is that i've burnt out my last two brushless motors, so I was thinking of using a brushed till my new brushless arrives, as I'm racing this weekend. I tried putting this first time but my pc decided to wipe what I put so I had to repost.

I love people who come into a thread and say something when they have never even tried what someone is asking. You have obviously never run a brushed motor with an Spx as the brushed motor profiles are also very aggressive even without electronic timing. That and the brakes you would not believe. Brushed may be dying but for people out there with lots of brushed motors (like i used to) this speedy is awesome.

So if they had ADVANCED BRAKING SYSTEM of ANTI LOCK BRAKES they would be able to get around the corner coz the brakes arn`t locked .
Help me out some one
The only reason i ask is would you think it would damage the motor or speed controller
Cheers guys

If you are locking up the brakes, you simply have brakes that are more powerful than the tires can handle. Toning down the brakes by reducing the EPA on the radio is the solution. Yes, it will bring down the braking power but what good is having 100% brake if you can't use it? A car with 70% brakes that doesn't lock up the wheels is going to stop faster than a car with 100% brakes that is skidding because the wheels are locked up.
