So I purchased a SPX, it was pretty awesome in my TC for about 2 weeks. It broke and was sent back for warranty. I just want to say LRP repairs take forever. I called today (it has been over three weeks now) to check status. I was told there are no parts in the country and when they arrive, ( whenever that may be) I will be contacted if I need to pay for any of the repairs (why would I pay for repairs on a warranty item used twice). I am very unhappy with my LRP product, and I'm about to replace it with another brand because I'm already sick of waiting. Thanks, just wanted to get it out. Happy racing.

Contrary to your experience, I have had great service from LRP via Associated in SoCal. Never had to send a SPX back to them; but, certainly did with previous models. Good luck!

Been blue for a long time, had problems with my SPX at the Birds last week and and didn't get much help from the company rep, finally got a Tekin on the last day and got all the help I could stand with it. Not a real big deal and I hope it works out for you, I will just put my SPX up and chalk it up to a lesson learned. No more LRP

Has anyone used the SPX in brushed mode? I am looking to use it with a Silver Can Motor.

When i ran an old CO27 with mine it was an animal. This speedy is so out of date in 17.5 now its ridiculous. Our 10.5 runners came 1,2,3 with it so go figure

I am running an spx in my f104 with a silver can motor. Seems to work fairly well. I have nothing to compare it against though, as this is the only package i have ever tried.(my first silver can car). I had the spx so i put it in. Guys were commenting on my speed so i guess my car was fast. Sorry i'm to new in the class so i'm still trying to see where i fit in.

For the best power with a silver can motor I would run a LRP QC3 brushed speedy, they have more punch than a brushless speedy from the testing I have done.

Regards
Gary

I know there mite be some better speedo's out there for a brushed motor. I tried selling the SPX and had no one interested so I figured I put it to use! I only used the SPX for a handful of times. I will still plan on running it with a Silver can.
