In my case I ran at 7 because it was a parking lot race. It was loose out and I was starting to feel like the drift king Had to smooth it out a bit.

RAL,

Ah ha! That explains the Profile 7 you used. Sorry, but I'm been spoiled in NorCal and shy away from tracks that don't offer good to excellent traction conditions.

One of my buddies had a stuttering problem when he ran also on the back straight. It ended up being his spektrum. He swapped to crystals and it stopped.

Dont know if thats your problem. But something to look into

I am running a spektrum module. I wonder if its a voltage thing or some sort of freq. emitted from the spx?

I guess us mere mortals can only dream of such perfect racing conditions.

I run 7 because i find it nicer to drive and im a bit of a hack I think the average racer does not need these extra profiles to keep up and we have a fast guy at the track who runs profile 6 and keeps up fine. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! Profile 6 for goodness sake

Can I assume that in my 1/12 running LiPo 1S with a 17.5, I'm going to go with profile 8?

I was running a 13.5 @ 6.24 at Superior Hobbies with real good traction. This was the first time on the DUO 2 motor but it was also the first time with this chassis/car and all the electronics were set up much differently as compared to my cyclone. I have since re-installed everything to new positions and moved the receiver quite a bit further away from the motor. I'm hoping this will help but won't know until the next race.

That is correct.

SMC 5200mah 2s 40c

FDR 6.6

*I also tried and FDR of 6.49 and 6.21
I had the same problem and after a lot of trouble shooting I threw away my spectum module and reciever and installed a Futaba FASST system. This solved my problem. I did everything else before resorting to this, Stutter stopper cap, reciever pack, motor change, battery change, and a reciever change. It was only when I tried a new SPX and still had the problem that I realized I had a radio problem.

I have no idea. But like Art we tried EVERYTHING you could think of to get it to stop. He swapped to crystals and bam it worked. I run FASST, never had any issues.

Hey Sonic, I run the SPX in my 416. I have been trying different ratios, I'm running a 17.5 motor. I have run 4.3 to a 5.12 using a 100 spur using profile 7 or 8. So it also depends on what motor you are going to run and how much timing you are going to run. The 100 spur is a good start to see which way to go with your profile and ratio. Another guy at my track likes to run a 104 spur on his 416, he said that it give it more mechanical torq. I haven't tried it yet but his car is fast. I did try a 98 spur my last race and like it running a 4.5 with the timing turned up 10,000 on the motor running profile 8. The motor came off about 150-155*, but the weather was cooler than normal so I think that might had something to do with it. I will be trying a 95 spur my next run with the timing set at 0* on the motor to start with. Just find a safe ratio to start with then figure out which way to go.
