When I put the SPX in my TC I went faster, you just have to be carefull with the gearing.
Whether it's worth spending on the extra is up for debate but you should notice the difference provided the track is big enough to make use of the extra rev's.
The smaller the track, the less it's worth it.

I would go for the Tekin RS Pro as the turbo feature actually works with 1s.

P.S. I have owned and run both in GT10

The SPX will be noticably faster than a Sphere Comp.

I have been reading some rumors about the SPX boost profiles not working on 1c lipo due to the very low voltage. Does anyone have experience with this setup that can comment?

In the name of keeping up with the Jone's I ordered the SPX. Getting tired of loosing 6-10 ft. down the back straight. I'm tempted to pickup a Novak Balistic 13.5 also, but to keep fair comparisons I will change just the ESC for now.

Has anyone ran the new Novak Balistic spec (17.5 or 13.5) with the SPX?? Results, opinion??

I use the older Novak SS which is supposed to be, in terms of performance, equivalent to the Ballistic. I can't see any reason to use a different motor at this point since I'm not being out-powered by anyone right now.

We have a guy here who races TC 10.5 lipo without the heat sink and its just fine, barely gets warm at all. I have used it anyway and it never breaks a sweat with the 17.5.
