Default Inside R/C Reedy Race coverage

Welp, I just watched the Inside R/C Reedy Race coverage, and all I got to say is Izzy's DVD was way better. Their coverage was incomplete. What a disappointment. They didn't even show Rod's or Barry's wins. I know I'm hating, but the coverage looks really shattered brain and no real flow to it.

They did show Rod being lifted on the shroulders of someone with the trophy in his hands. I agree right idea but not well thought out. They should have a running narratvie(sp) Someone explaining what the Reedyrace is, how the open class was run, how you get into the invite class should have been explained alot better(not to bash on Mr Reedy). On the whole, the show could have been alot more informtive

Hey Neil, after watching the episode a second time, what I really noticed is how differently people drive through the Ess's. What I can see is why people were puzzled why Rod posted lap times faster than most of the Open Mod guys. It was his line through the Ess's, were a lot "flatter" than most people. Though he came in wide for the Ess's and exited wide, his line through the Ess's was really "flat". While most people were loopy, through that section of the track I'll get ya a copy andyou'll see what I mean.

I'll have to agree with my brother on that one. It's one of the many tricks of setting up and driving at the TA track. The flatter you can go through the Ess's without scrubbing speed, the better. That section alone is worth .2-.3 seconds a lap because it sets you up for the straight. If you take a loopy line, your kinda screwed. If you ever get a chance to watch the guys go through it, you can actually see the distance gained from getting it right and getting it wrong. A perfect example of doing it right is (if you have IzzyRacer's Reedy Race DVD) watching the last 2-3 laps by David Jun as he reeled on Todd Hodge. He ablsolutely nailed those turns and it covers ground big time!
