Default Custom Cut TC5 Urethane Chassis Protector.

For those wanting the best protection for their TC5 & Mi3 chassis look no further. This nearly undetectable, protective 7mil urethane film comes fully pre-cut and is designed to provide maximum protection to your Team Associated TC5's & Schumacher's Mi3 carbon-fiber chassis underside against nicks, scrapes and scratches.

It is custom cut less than 1-2mm from edges to help prevent from catching on obstructions. Not only does it protect but also adds a nice shine to the underside of the chassis.

If you have any questions or other chassis suggestions for consideration please post them here:

How is it held on? Looks like it is adhesive backed. It will be interesting to see how long the adhesive holds on. Do you plan to do other chassis? Custom ones?

Self-Adhesive! 7mil is a grade used for thickness of paint protection films for full-size cars which is what this chassis protector film is cut from.

That's what this thread is to determine

Possibly, just need a chassis donation for a short duration to get measurements.

I just received mine today and have to say the template is perfect! This is the same stuff used on full scale cars for paint protection against rocks and is applied with a very strong adhesive that should hold fine. A friend of mine tints windows and does the clear shields for cars and it's a solid material for sure.

Thank you again for the great product!

Did you have time to install film after replacing all the damaged parts on the car?

BTW, I've used this same type of film on a 1:1 car (350Z) and it is very durable and effective. Personally tested to 145 mph!

i dont understand the point of it if your not covering the entire chassis, the very edges 1-2mm are the parts that get scratched the most, you need to cover those. It really doesn't catch on anything, i always cover the entire chassis with chassis film on an assphalt car. This is a great idea and design, all thats left is to cover the rest of the chassis!

The thickness of the material is enough to catch if it went all the way to the edge. The 1-2mm estimate is on the high side as you can see in second picture and John Stranahan's test report it is less than 1mm. The most important thing is the film doesn't peel up. Peeling would not be a good thing to happen as that would compromise protecting the chassis or cause a problem during a race. Thank you for your input and opinion.

Yes it can be removed from the chassis with some effort but it leaves no residue!

Unfortunately no. I did get my rebuild done thanks to receiving all the parts! Had to fit the new ITF replacement chassis, top deck, the goodies I got from you, and pretty much replaced all my electronics so it was a long wrenching session and I knew I didn't have time for the protector to cure up. I'll be fitting it this week. Thanks to you again for the awesome service...took down TQ in my race yesterday with the rebuilt car!
