Competition electronics TurboDyno

I've got a 30Amps version of this dyno, and i want to upgrade it to a 45Amps.
Somebody can help me? I think i've just have to copy the EEPROM of a 45Amps version, but this stuff is very rare in France...
So, if somebody can download the firmware and send it to me by email...
Thanks for your help,
Vincent

I would think they would also be a FET upgrade??????

Not sure...

FaN 11-04-2003 05:12 AM

6xIRF540 (28Amps each!)+big heatsink+fan...
I think hardware can drive much more than 45Amps!

I'm quite sure that only a firmware update is necessary...

hmmm, think you may be correct....

If you can't find the software, CE maybe able to send it or a new EEPROM

The problem is that they don't give any Email address, and they haven't answer to my Fax...

it is my understanding that CE does upgrade the TD30 to a TD45, but its around 300 dollars.
A bit high, but then again its a totally refurbished unit :):

FaN 11-04-2003 11:37 AM

Hmmm...
I've buy it about $100...
So, i won't pay $300 to upgrade it!!!

TD45's are going for between 450 and 650 dollars here and on eBay. I think that it would be made a good investment if you decided to upgrade :p

you can try to call them
the people at CE are readily avaliable:)

Too bad that CE does not make these still, guess was not enough market to continue making them.

From what I have read the CE dyno is a way better source of info on motors then the flywheel dynos on market.

Thanks for the Email address, Calvin!!
Fire: i'm not enought sure of my english to call !!
I can read and write english (not too bad, i suppose, since you understand me!!) but listening to american...

I'm sure the TD is the best dyno for ours motors!
It's really a fantastic toy!
