lets say i buy all the upgrades for the tt01 like the graphite conversion kit
will it be a good racing car?
as good as the ta05?
and can i upgrade the tt01 to a tt01e?
or should i buy the cyclone s, ta05, tb02, or any other rc car around 150?

You could buy all that and you would be competitive plus that will cost you lots of money, so i recomend buying a TC5 or an xray 009 with that sort of money. Or something along those lines.

Use the TA05 if budget is a problem. They are the most bang for your buck of all the cheaper kits. The tt01 will never be as capable as TA05 unless its for spec racing classes.

Or a 2nd hand pro chassis such as trf415 or TC5 or dare I say it Xray...

I always answer TA05 to these questions. A box-stock TA05 can outperform many more expensive cars, it is very durable, and it is very forgiving. IMO the perfect 1st club racer. I've also seen people do well with the Cyclone S lately and I'm thinking of trying one myself for RCGT.

You could use Tower Hobbies...use the $20 off coupon code on their home page www.towerhobbies.com. I'd go with the regular TA05 vs. the IFS to save money. $173 minus $20 discount = $153 = heluva good deal on a great car.

TA05 at Tower

IFSR is a far better car outta the box. the whole 'no tamiya body' is rubbish since most use hpi bodies for everythin other than a TCS race, or of course if their using it in a sedan class then their sportin a protoform or pse of some type.

No dispute about that, but he wasn't talking about an R model. He is looking for a club racer for around $150.
