Tamiya TRF shocks are just about the best out there, alternatively the alloy HPI/Hot Bodies shocks should be good.
I used 3 racing on my TA05. When I changed to Tamiya, big difference!

+1 for TRF shocks. I have them on my TA05R, they never leaked and worked very smoothly. The shocks come with my Cyclone get loose often and the shock oil leaks from the caps after a couple of runs on the track. I have not upgraded to cyclone TC shock but looks an alternative replacement.

As good as the TRF shocks.

They are crap panther. Buy yourself the Tamiya TRF shocks you cant go wrong man. Spend the extra cash and you wont suffer constant leaks and rebuilds.

The newer HB Cyclone TC shocks are great. They are super easy to build and veeerrryyyy smooth. They are on par with the tamiya TRF shocks, so they are reilable, easy to build, and very smooth.
