u can actually wire it in series. that would actually result in placing a motor with 6 turn motor limit on the roost. i think the roost can still handle it but i'm the type of person who thinks that its always better to be safe than sorry.

aw, then why have twin 11turns if your not going to wire it in series? Hehehe. Go with the tekin or lrp, they will fair much better that the super rooster. And the lrps are around 120, w/ the reverse i think im not sure, and the tekin is around 120 also.

i apologize everyone, i was reading through the thread and i ran across an error, on my part. I said i used 29-30 pinion for stock motors, that is like kinda way off. I have in my car right now a 23. And i use a range of 23-25. What do you guys use for mod motors? I hope you guys have .4 module...

thanks

.4 module has small teeth, same as 64 pitch.

zxt: what you have are the .6 module gears

For Stock racing PK2 I am using a 25 tooth .4 pinion gear. I gear my 17T double with 23 tooth .4 pinion gear.

My 03f DJ is still holding strong. I have won every A-main at Hobby Town USA race that I attended. Just to make everything even I ran the style 19T Spec motor that some of the other guys where running and same 2400 battery packs. The 03 was still as fast as the other TC out there especially the TC3's that where out there. Every since I bought my 03F DJ (used) it has over 10 victories and never finished lower than third at any of the local raaces.

I'll post details soon...

By the way...how do I fix the slop in my FF-01? I cant seem to find the problem...I already change the servo but still my FF-02 continues to turn right if I turn right and left if I turn left...

hey, if there is steering slop, take some o-rings and slip them under the ball pivot, and if you dont have ball pivot then buy the machine sleeves that go in the fixed camber links

Default TA03Pro DJ

Hi All, I'm about to buy a used DJ just to play around. I was wondering if it can really keep up with the other cars around. Do I need to change anything on the car? I heard that in order to get better steering, I should change the TA02 caster blocks.

Also, how much should I be paying for a used DJ (condition: Good)?

I would not pay more than $120 for a used DJ and make sure that everything is good.

The difference is the Chassie, shocks, belt, and pitch of the gears.
The 03F DJ has the Carbon chassie, aluminum shocks, narrow belt, 63 pitch white gears, sway bars, and aluminum motor mounts, and full ball bearing. and the car has the belted A-tires.
Where as the regular 03 has the tub chassie, plastic shocks, bushings and cheaper tires.
