Tamiya TRF415
You have to have the MSXX stick pack conversion chassis. I believe these have long since been sold out most everywhere.
It does make lipo fit better, but I'm not sure how much. There are a lot of parts in the kit, and almost all of them are necessary, including new right-rear bulkheads, rear center brace, upper deck, and rear left & right rear upper braces.
The older MSX stick pack conversion does not work on the later versions (due to steering placement). If you switched to MSX steering system, you may get it to work...

Hi guys,
Just aquired a TRF415MSXX chassis 2nd hand.
Didnt pay close attention to its condition when I purchased and just noticed the rear diff joints are all flogged out.
Im wondering if its possible to fit platic/derlin ones off another car?
Anyone able to let me know whats compatible?
Thanks
Andrew

It`s not bigdeal to use regular MSX chassis to MSX MRE, because you can make those steering holes yourself. Just measure distance and make new holes and thats it.
I chance my old MRE chassisplate to MSX one and no broblem at all.
Give a try

I use homemade lipo tray what was made from stainless steel and weight is ~99g so i must use GM 4000 lipo and balance is 50/50 after i add 50g extra weights to the left side
Works well for me

Can anyone tell me if Tamiya or another company makes a thicker foam tire chassis for the 415?Thanks
Hy there!
Yes Tamiya makes a 4mm Chassis for foam racing. It fits the 415, MS, and MSX.

Hey everyone, I have a 415 MSX and recently upgraded to the short reversible suspension. At a recent parking lot race i felt like I had no on power steering. IS it difficult to upgrade to the MRE steering?

Does anyone know what size is the 950 bearing? I bought some from avid and I believe I must have the wrong dimensions because they don't fit. I thought they were 5x11x4 ... probably more like 5x11x3??

I was just about to ask a similar question about bearings
I have a 415 msx and was looking at replacing all the bearings
now i can buy OS on ebay a 3 racing set
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3Racing-Ball-...3A1%7C294%3A30
or i can buy at a local bearing supplier
what are the individual sizes, yer i can get Tamiya Part # from the manual but it doesnt have individual sizes
Does anybody know these or it means pulling apart and measuring each
Thanks for any info

The size of the bearing is 9mm outer and 5mm inner diameter.
If you have a 1050, then it is 10mm and 5mm, and so on.
The thickness (i think) is caused by the outer and inner dimension.
There should be no different types of bearings available.
