thanks for the tips ppl, rebuilt my car as per box instructions and did some mods as per thard's site, lowered steering rack etc etc and the car ran flawlessly and drove better than ever. Seemed to be a little too stuck though didnt have to lift anywhere. Also the first time ive ran brand new tires on the tourer. Did some little mods for the final but we got rained out before I got a chance to run em.
i also have the MRE steering in the car and will try the suggestions. i definately need to rebuild the shocks and try that
cheers for the help

Hi guys, may I know what is the best combination spur gear and pinion gear for Yokomo SPN 19t and Yokomo Tmax 23t motors sit on TRF415 MRE to run in medium track? As I know the internal gear ratio is 2.25. Thanks in advance.

The word on the street around our neighborhood is that alot poeple a going back to the 415 cause they can get it to work better then the 416 at this point in time. Any thoughts on that?

Instructions say 3x8mm button heads. 3x.05mm washer. Screw bag b #9464089 or 10 3x8mm screws #9805765. It's a 2mm allen and I dont use the washers.
Edited. Stated 2mm at first but realized that was the wrench size. lol

I just finished building my 415 MRE and i have to say it was a good kit to build. very happy with the quality. I cant wait to give it a run next week. I wrote up a building review, it will be up on my website on www.ttrc.com.au shortly.
the 416 is a killer car - the fastest around at the moment. just look at the results.

Get this for all your spacer needs!
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=53539
Infact I need to get another packet of those, all my thin spacers keep getting nicked by friends.

front spool
I'm looking for a front spool (solid axle) for my TRF 415 MSXX and found just #53877. Does it fit 415 MSXX ? If not, can anyone recommend any other ordering number for MSXX ?
Thanks
Thanks
You have to get the following items:
3454401 TRF415 front spool
9804268 TRF415 Delrin spool outdrives
9804267 TRF415 Aluminium spool sleeves
You can also use the steel outdrives from the ta05 spool instead of the delrin ones.
From Jaad Racing is a complete spool set available.
www.jaadracing.com
This is a complete set, and you can also use the delrin 415 outdrives with it.

I've had my 415 for some times now... its started life as an MS but has been updated to an MSX with some MRE parts thrown in for good measure...
I am having serious problems with lack of rear grip... My setup is not that far removed from most I have seen online with the exception of no sway bars or a front sway bar only... I run a spool with fixed center... I mainly run 10.5/19T and 5 cell modified... I run on a fairly changeable car park track with low-ish to medium grip
Nothing I seem to do can make the car grip in the rear... its almost like the rear end "floats" on top of the track surface instead of biting in
Does anyone have any setups etc that feature very high rear grip?
