Thanks for the help with the spool. I contacted Tamiya about the part and they said it was their fault since the website was a bit confusing. They said they weren't sure why someone felt the need to put under the Evo IV spool description the part number for the 415 and they had some issues with that before.

Anyone in the market for a Evo IV spool????
well the chassis and upperdeck will NOT be compatible since the steering rack and posts sit further back. this will change the mounting holes for both the lower and upper decks.

I don't think you can find a better car. I don't have any specific dates, but the parts I used all appear to be production quality. I would expect in the next 8-12 weeks. But you would have to contact Tamiya for more precise dates.

Name on a car kit? Maybe some day!

Default Question

Is there anybody who has chance to try Yokomo or Kyosho Battery Tray put on MSX? Will they fit?

Not a direct fit. They would require alot of dremeling (yokomo tray).

I think its a bit amusing that the car is not setup properly on the display photos. Check out the shock preload.

Yeah I can understand that point, and I hate it too, but you have to keep finding new things to stay ahead of the competition and thats what Tamiya is doing. Look at it this way, at least they are selling it on one kit every year instead of monthly changes to the deck, pulleys, steering, etc that they could do.

hi all. new car looks sweet! of course its gonna do me no good for carpet since i have the carpet chassis for the old steering and dont think tamiya will make another one for the new steering! anyway are the short lws arms gonna be for carpet with foams or will the standard arms be better. i know marc won vegas with the lws arms but then again he could win with no arms and no wheels. lol. also if anyone has a good parking lot set-up for the msx as mine sucked in maryland tcs race. i would appreciate some help especially with tires and inserts. im running rp 30s on my local track wich is asphalt and is good but i just cant set it up for the parkind lot. thanx!
