All right, that's what I'm talking about! Thank you TRF Racing!! More delrin please! I haven't broken any outdrives yet, but my son has broken 3. Two was his fault but one wasn't! Either way it would be good to have extras, just in case!!!!

TRF415 MS Conv Kit

Just received my kit today via UPS (free shipping) from Ultimate Hobbies. Upon opening the box, I was expecting a t-shirt (based from prev postings) hoping the kit came from Japan. But instead, I ended up getting the decal sheet for the 415 MS kit. Did any of you get a 415 MS decal sheet as well? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the decal sheet since I was planning to get one when I order my next batch of spare parts again.

Haven't put it together yet since I'm still waiting for the Titanium screw set I ordered from Steve (SpeedTech) which the last time I checked is due to arrive tomorrow as well. For now just going to prep up the G-parts with CA glue.

Parts look awesome as described by others....worth the $$$$.

I got my MSX kit about a month ago. Its alittle more flexy then the tripple deck design but the parts are like jewlrey. Does anyone know where I can get a 3mm chassis for it or does someone make a thicker one?

Unfortunately there dont seem to be any 2.5mm chassis available, i had to get a 3mm chassis from Hobbymania recently. it was all i could find. The car feels a lot stiffer with this chassis, i think i would actually prefer the thin chassis for Asphalt Rubber.

Customworks, check that your universals a properly lubed and clean, and also use some thick grease on the spool outdrives.

Qwerty the 415 is a very complete car, for racing in Australia you dont need any other options or accessories. I run modified and when i was preparing for the TCS nationals the only thing i had to change was to replace the spur and pinion with a Tamiya unit.

Hey just a quick question if anyone knows, Is there a rear spool diff for the TRF415 made? Im about to lock my Ball diff with Araldite but i would prefer a proper unit.

Im getting chronic understeer due to the rear wheels spinning at different speeds, regardless of how much i tighten the ball diff(Without going too far as i dont want the bolt to snap)

Thanks heaps
Jack

Rear spool???? i assume this if for your monging around on plastic wheels? If so to lock any diff, take the diff balls out, cut header cards out in the shape of the diff rings, and bolt it all together, with the cardboard placed on the diff pulley instead of the diff balls, tighten up and instant spool.

Ok thanks for that, Its less permenant than the araldite so that way i can revert to ball diff's if i chose to waste my time scooting around on rubber tyres
