As said before the MS and the TRF415 chassis are different bolt spacing for the toe blocks. The range of adjustment for the TRF is more than the MS. The MSX that was run at Reedy had the old TRF 415 spacing for the lower plate toe blocks. Other than that the rest of the central chassis was the same.

Default MSX Conversion

Well I have not completely kept up on the 415MS kit contents and changes, but the bulkheads were the same maybe with the exception of the heatsink rear type as that part was available to the Standard 415. Same bolt pattern to the bottom chassis.

Also the LWS kit allowed you to put it on the Standard 415 with no other blocks needed and it would work. The same components are in the 415MS car kit. Maybe the LWS kit A-arms would need extra shims to fit it on the Standard 415 between the blocks. Maybe the 415MS blocks are really closer together. But it should not keep Standard 415 kit owners with the standard suspension from being able to install the MSX conversion as it is just the bulkheads, shock towers, and upper deck + screws and shims. I just don't see it being out of alignment with screw holes or with the suspension or drivetrain like swingshaft alignment.

Also I noticed the 415MS kit and the Reversible LWS conversion kit is now discontinued items as per the Tamiya USA website.

Difuser,

Just reading your post again, Do you mean the bolt spacing of the 415MS of the blocks are closer to each other as in closer to the centerline of the chassis spliting the left and right sides (if line drawn front to back) when mounted?

So that would be EVO IV blocks? And also these new XA, XB, XC, XD blocks part of the 415MS Champion parts set? And that would eliminate those from ever going onto a Standard 415 kit?

190mph,
The spacing of the suspension blocks being closer together would be a shorter hinge pin on the MS as compared to a std 415.The front and rear of the chassis screw hole locations are the same, just the adjoining holes are closer.

Just was at the Tamyia USA site and now you can read there the chassis isn´t included. This was different in the beginning.
So the conversion kit get´s even more expensive.
Maybe Tamiya should realize you can get a similar complete car for not much more money than this conversion kit.
Figures ....

Hello
Finally i got my TRF415MS. Do you have any advice for me about assembling this car? Are there any "must have" parts or tuning parts that should i buy at the begining? Maybe some more suspension blocks?

Is it good idea to use one way in front and center one way pulley? Or should i buy direct pulley?

Can you give me links for some good setups? Do you have setup Marc Rheinard from EC 2005 from last week? I know that he was using MSX.

Please give me links for good on-line shops with spare parts and aftermarket parts for Tamiya.

Thank you in advance.
