I rebuild the car:

before a big meet, which includes cleaning all the bearings and things like that

or if I have to do some work anyway, like replacing belts. I still can't get over what a pain that is (especially since this is my first belt car)

I mean, this includes practice hours.

Did you rebuild your car a day before race and after a practice?

I haven't done any practise for a few weeks, since the car is fine

Usually racing is on a Wednesday, so if I need to do anything to it, it gets done on the weekend, unless I am waiting for a part.

I always strip the car down and clean it the night after a race meeting... so far got it down to three hours (including bearings and universals )... not too shabby.
I just can't have it sitting on the shelf dirty all week...

acutts: PM RCManiax's on here.... he'll be able to let you know.

Regards
Ed

knowing the car backwards

Seriously though, I do the front first, then the rear of the car, working on a corner at one time.... i reckon if I was in a rush i could get the car pretty clean, and regreesed in 2 hours or so...

Just keep everything in order, and all tools too hand, makes life easier. I also tend to do it in a modular nature, so remove all the parts for one side then the other.

Then again I'm not slow in working anyway... I've managed to have the car changed from the std suspension to the lwt, and setup in 45mins before.
(mainly cause I make sure both sets are always ready to be used when at the track, so i'm not greasing and lubing up parts when putting them on)

Scho will back me up on my wrenching speed

Later
Ed
